How to Sell Your Pre-Loved Homewares with The Curated Home

Step 1: Share the Story
Send us high-resolution and detailed images of your piece along with a short description. Where applicable, include the brand, original purchase price, and how long you’ve owned it - details that help honour its story.

Step 2: Location & Shipping
Let us know where the item is based and whether it can be shipped, couriered, or is for collection only. You’ll cover the cost of sending your item to us, and we’ll take care of shipping it on to its new home once it sells.

Step 3: Valuation
Our team will review your piece and propose a price that reflects its quality, heritage, and market appeal.

Step 4: Agreement
Once you’ve approved the valuation, the process is seamless from here.

Step 5: Styling & Sale
We style and photograph your item with care, giving it the chance to be appreciated anew, and completing the circle of sustainable living.

Step 6: Reward
Earn 65% cash back or 70% store credit when your item sells - a return that’s both stylish and sustainable.

FAQ’s

  • We specialise in high-end, lightly used homewares. If your item is designer, unique, or beautifully made, it’s likely a good fit.

  • Clear images, a short description, brand (if known), purchase price (where suitable), age of the item, and your location.

  • No. Each piece is reviewed before acceptance. If we feel your item isn’t the right fit, we’ll let you know.

  • We suggest a price based on brand, condition, demand, and market trends. You’ll approve the price before the item is listed.

  • You’ll receive 65% of the sale price in cash or 70% in credit to spend at The Curated Home once your item sells.

  • Payments are processed once the payment for the item is received and delivered to its new owner is confirmed.

  • You cover the cost of sending your item to us. We cover shipping to the buyer once it sells.

  • Our fee (65% to you in cash or 70% to you in store credit, meaning The Curated Home retains 35% or 30% respectively) includes everything: we professionally style and photograph your item, hold it in our care until it sells, and cover the cost of shipping it to its new home.

  • Yes, we are based in Parnell, Auckland.
    Some items are too large to ship, so local pick-up can be arranged.

  • We’ll confirm the shipping address once your item has been accepted for listing.

  • Item description
  • Yes. If an item hasn’t sold within the 60 day timeframe, you can arrange to have it returned at your cost.

  • Generally, items remain listed for up to 60 days, after which we’ll review with you whether to continue, return, or adjust pricing.

  • Due to the nature of pre-loved items, we don’t offer returns unless an item arrives damaged or misrepresented.
